Raw Jackfruit Stir Fry


Raw jackfruit stir fry is unique, tasty & flavourful dish made from pickled/salted tender jackfruit pods.

Raw jackfruit is stored in salted water for off-seasonal use.

Jackfruit is magical exotic summer fruit which fills our body with all sorts of awesome healthy nutrients since it is rich in dietary fibre, minerals and vitamins and free from saturated fats or cholesterol. 


  • In a container, soak 2 cups of salted Jackfruit pod in water for 1 hour. Wash well to remove the excess salt .
  • Cut the jackfruit pods into small pieces.
  • In a pan, add 2tbsp oil, splutter 1/2 tbsp mustard seeds, add 3 dry red chilles and fry. 
  • Add the sliced raw jackfruit pieces and fry.
  • Add little water, cover and cook till done.
  • Pickled Raw jackfruit stry fry is ready.

Horsegram Idli



Horse Gram(Kulith) Idli is protein and calcium rich nutritious savoury cakes.

Horse Gram, idli rava and Urad Dal batter gives soft fluffy texture to this naturally fermented steamed pancake.

Horse gram is the most protein-rich lentil in the world. It is also rich in iron and calcium among other nutrients.

This exceptionally easy, healthy, steamed
breakfast has special appetizing aroma which fuels up one for a healthy start. 



  • Soak 1 cup urad dal and 1 cup horsegram for about 5hrs.
  • Grind them together to a very smooth batter. 
  • Now add 2 cups idli rava, salt, grind till they mix well.
  • Leave the batter overnight for fermentation.
  • Next morning, grease a vessel which can fit into pressure cooker for steaming. Add the idli batter to cover 3/4 portion of the vessel.
  • Transfer the vessel into pressure cooker and steam it for 20 minutes without the whistle.

The soft, aromatic horse gram idli is ready.

Mango Dessert



Try out these mouth-watering mango dessert recipes, hope you enjoy making, serving and savouring them. Have happy and cool summers!

Mango Pudding



  • In a bowl, add 1 tbsp gelatine, 1/2 cup cold water. Soak for 10 mins.
  • Take another bowl, add 1 cup water and bring to a boil. Switch off the flame and add soaked gelatine.
  • Add 2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup condensed milk, 2 cup mango puree and mix well.
  • Grease a bowl and add the mixture into it. Put it in the fridge for 2 hours to set.

The Divine blissful Mango Pudding is ready to be served cold with cream and nuts.

Mango kulfi




  • In a pan, add 2 cups of milk heat it on low flame. Simmer and add sugar.
  • Add 2 cups of cornflour into the milk and stir well so that no lumps are formed.
  • Let the mixture cool and then add 2 cups of mango puree to it.
  • Add chopped dry fruits to the mixture and pour it into moulds.
  • Freeze it for 10 hours and serve chilled.

Mango kulfi is ready and its tantalizing taste has too-good-to-be-real effect on the taste buds.

Aamras



  • Peel 2 mangoes and chop it into pieces.
  • In a blender add chopped mango pieces, 1 tbsp cardamom powder, 2 cup milk, 5 strands saffron, 1 tbsp dry ginger powder & 2 tbsp jaggery powder.
  • Pour the mixture into glasses and serve chilled by adding ice-cubes.

Aamras the rejuvenating, tempting drink is ready.

Mango Mousse



  • In a pan, add 2 tbsp agar-agar(china grass) and 1 cup milk, stir it on low flame and let it simmer.
  • Add 2 cup mango puree, 1 cup sugar and 1/4 tbsp cinnamon powder into the mixture. Let the mouse mixture cool for some time.
  • Add 2 cup whipped cream into four serving glasses. Add mouse mixture and then again add cream. Repeat the process to form layers in the glasses.
  • While serving pour 2 tbsp lemon juice to give it an authentic taste.

Drooling sweet and tangy mango mousse made with mango and whipped cream is ready.

Mango Halwa



  • In a bowl add 1/2 cup cornflour, add 1/2 cup water. Stir will to ensure no lumps are formed.
  • In a pan, add 6 tbsp ghee, when ghee gets lukewarm, add 2 cups mango puree.
  • Now add the cornflour mixture and let it thicken up.
  • Add 1 cup sugar and some more ghee to the pan.
  • Add 1 tbsp cardamom powder and chopped dry fruits and let it cool.

Tasty flavourful charming Mango Halwa is ready.

Mango Popsicles



  • Add 1/2 cup grated chocolate to 3 cup mango pulp and mix it well.
  • Whisk 2 cup cream, add 3/4 cup powdered sugar, 1.5 tbsp vanilla essence and 1 cup milk.
  • Whisk the mixture until it becomes fluffy.
  • Set the mixture in a mould and freeze them together.

Frozen treat, No-cook mango popsicles is ready. 

Smoothies

Panak



Panak is healthy spicy drink loaded with goodness of ginger, pepper & blended with jaggery for natural sweetness. The lime further adds a bit of zest to this sweet and spicy drink. 

The natural ingredients of this drink keeps body cool and maintains good balance of all the elements.


In a container, add

2 cups water
1/4 tbsp cardamom powder
1/2 tbsp pepper powder
1/2 tbsp grated ginger
1 tbsp lemon juice
3 tbsp jaggery powder

Mix all till jaggery is dissolved in water.

Spicy panak drink is ready.

Cucumber Cake




Cucumber cake is delicious, healthy easy to make eggless steamed cake.

It is very midly sweet in taste and loaded with goodness of semolina, coconut, jaggery and flavourful cucumber.

Lets enjoy this soft, moist, unique textured cake in steamed style.



  • In a pan, roast 3/4 cup broken wheat dalia (lapsi rava) till it turns slightly brown. 
  • Add 1/4 cup semolina(rava) and roast till it turns slightly brown. 
  • Add water, 1cup grated cucumber and 1cup jaggery and mix well. 
  • Add 1/4 cup grated coconut, 10 cashew nuts, 10 raisins and salt and mix well. Keep stiring and cook till the mixture forms a thick paste. 
  • In a container, add ghee & the cake mixture. 
  • Place the container in pressure cooker, then remove whistle and cover it with a lid and steam Steam for 40 minutes.
  • Tasty cucumber cake is ready.

Sweet Poha 

Coconut Rice Dumplings




Coconut Rice dumplings is similar to Idlis but easy to make and needs no fermentation. Tempering of urad dal, mustard and curry leaves gives this dumplings unique taste.

So if you are looking out for quick tasty healthy steamed food breakfast or snack go for this.



  • In a pan, add 3 tbsp coconut oil, 1 tbsp mustard seed, 1/4 tbsp fenugreek, 1 tbsp urad daal, 3 slit green chillies and 5 curry leaves.
  • When it starts popping add 1 cup idli rava, fry for 4 minutes. Add salt, 1/2 cup grated coconut and 3 cups boiling water. Stir and close the lid. Cook until it is completely cooked.
  • Let it cool a bit and then form round small dumpling balls . Grease a cooker vessel and lineup dumplings. Steam for 15 minutes.
  • Serve hot dumplings with coconut chutney.

Maida Dosa


Maida dosa is easy to make spicy crispy since it requires no grinding or fermentation.

This dosa can be eaten without any side dish since batter is prepared with the spicy condiments.

This receipe is handy for those days when you feel lazy and wish to make quick breakfast or evening snack.

  • In a bowl, add 1 cup maida, 1.5 grated coconut, 1/2 tbsp pepper powder, salt, water and mix well to make it thin batter without any lumps
  • In a pan, add 1 tbsp coconut oil, splutter 1/2 tbsp mustard seeds and saute well. Add thinly chopped 1 green chilly and 5 curry leaves and fry and switch off the flame.
  • Pour the above seasoning into the maida batter container and mix well.
  • Take a nonstick pan add ghee, spread the maida batter with laddle evenly.
  • Close the tawa with a lid and roast the maida dosa on medium flame till the base is roasted well. Apply ghee on all sides and flip it with spatula till the other side is cooked. Once both sides of dosa is roasted remove it from hot pan with spatula.
  • Spicy maida dosa is ready.
