Brown Bread - Dahi Vada

No Soaking| No Grinding | No deep frying

Instant brown bread dahi wada in minutes


Dahi vada is quintessential, mouth melting, soft, flufy dumplings dunked into curd/yogurt topped with colourful spicy, sweet, tangy chutney & garnished with spices.

Lets go the vada way to beat the heat with this simplest receipe.

Ingredients :

Brown bread slices 8
Curd/Yogurt - 3/4 cup
Black salt 1/2 tbsp
Sugar 1/4 cup
Cumin & Red chilli powder 1 tbsp each
Buttermilk ½ cup
Sweet & Green chutney as required
Pomegranate pearls as required
Salt to taste

Method :

  • Cut the edges of bread slices, make small pieces and transfer them into a bowl. Add black salt, chilli powder, cumin powder, salt, buttermilk and mash well.
  • Make small malls from bread the mixture like round "vadas"
  • In serving plates, add some buttermilk & vadas
  • In a bowl, add yogurt, sugar, whism & mix well. Now add this mixture on top of the vadas placed in serving plates.
  • Top it with sweet, green chutney, red chilli powder, black salt and pomegranate pearls.
  • Instant delicious dahi vada is ready.



Langar dal | Amritsari dal | Punjabi langar wali dal

Langar dal is delicious, elegant and fragrant dal made using simple ingredients.

“Langar” is the free community meal service provided in Sikh Gurudwaras to all visitors where people sit together and relish Guru ka Prasad.

The intense flavour of urad dal with its skin, chana dal and an assortment of spices, green chillies and onions transforms it into a delicious dal that will make you lick your fingers! 


  • Soak 1/2 cup split black lentils(back urad dal) and 1/2 cup chana dal for 1 hour.
  • In a Pressure, add soaked split black lentil chana dal, 3 cups water,1/2 tbsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste. Pressure cook upto 4 whistles.
  • Mash the cooked dal with ladle, add 1 cuo of water, boil and simmer.
  • While the dal is simmering, heat 2 tbsp oil in a heavy bottomed vessel,
  • In a pan, add 1 bay leaf, 1 cinnamon stick... once it sizzles, add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 1 large chopped onions salute. Add 1 large finely chopped tomatoes and saute.
  • Add the onion tomato gravy mix to the simmering dal and mix well. Add salt, 1 tbsp butter and simmer.
  • In a sauce pan, add 1 tbsp ghee, 1/4 tbsp asafoetida, 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder, 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1/2 tbsp kasturi methi. Mix well and add this to dal mix.
  • Delicious healthy Langar dal is ready

Choclate Mug Cake


1 Minute | Egg less | Chocolate | Mug Cake |




When you are craving for something sweet & extremely luscious, try this delicious, soft, fluffy, eggless chocolate mug cake prepared in microwave.


Ingredients :

2 tbsp Maida

1.5 tsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder & sugar each

1/4 tsp Baking Powder

Pinch of Salt

1 tsp Walnuts / Akhrot crushed

1 tbsp - marmalade/ fruit jam/nutella

2 tbsp Milk Powder

1 tbsp Cooking Oil

Instructions

In a microwave safe mug, add maida flour, sugar,cocoa powder,salt and baking powder.

Add choco chips(optional) and walnuts/any nuts of your choice and mix

Add milk, marmalade/ fruit jam/nutella and oil. Stir properly

Microwave the mug for 1 minute 10 seconds.

Wait for 2 minutes.

Remove the mug from microwave and enjoy delicious mug cake.

Bread Pizza on Tava



Bread pizza on tava is innovative, quickest and easiest version of pizza with bread used as pizza base.

Satisfy your pizza cravings with this 15 minute quick receipe.

Ingredients : 

Bread slices - 6

Butter & Tomato ketchup - as required

Chopped capsicum,tomatoes - 1/4 bowl each

Chopped onions & Grated cheese - 1/2 bowl each

Chopped green chilies & oil - 1 tbsp each

Salt - as per taste

Method :

  • In a pan, add oil & all chopped veggies to it. Saute till veggies are soft and keep aside.
  • Apply butter to one side of bread slice and tomato ketchup to the other side. Repeat for all bread slices.
  • Spread cooked veggies on bread slice(tomato ketchup side) add grated cheese on top of it.
  • Now place the bread slice(butter part) on the tava, cover & cook on low flame till the cheese metls completely.
  • Switch off the gas and transfer pizza into serving plate.
  • Yummy Bread pizza on tava is ready.

Rava Pakoda


Instant Rava(Semolina) Pakoda is deep fried, delicious, crunchy, fluffy, bite-size snack and great appetizer is made with easily available ingredients.

In a bowl add following ingredients & mix well :

Sooji/Semolina - 1 Cup

Roasted Cashew Nuts - 1/2 Cup

Curd - 1/2 Cup

Grated Ginger - 1/2 inch piece

Green Chilli - 2 chopped

Chopped Onion & Coriander Leaves - 1/2 Cup each

Turmeric & red chilli powder - a pinch each

Chaat Masala,black pepper powder& salt - as per taste

Baking Soda - a pinch

  • Add water to make thick batter, cover and keep it aside for 7 minutes.
  • Add baking soda to the batter. Mix well.
  • In a pan, add oil for frying on a high flame. Once the oil is hot lower the flame.
  • Drop small round pakode from the batter mixture and fry on medium flame.
  • Once it turns golden brown from all the sides, take them out.
  • Yummy Sooji Pakoda is ready.

No Bake - No cook - Chocolate Brownie is sugar-free healthy nutritious chocolate delight which can be easily prepared in 5 minutes using dryfruits & coca powder. 



  • In mixer, add 1 cup dryfruits(almonds, cashew nuts, walnut). Grind well.
  • Add 1/3 rd cup cocoa powder to mixer and grind again.
  • Add 12 dates(kajoor) and grind again to form a dough.
  • Transfer the dough in a container, let it cool for some time. Refrigerator for 1 hour.

Banana Pancake 



  • In a bowl, add slices of 1 large size banana and mash it to form banana paste
  • Add two eggs to this banana paste. Whisk.

Banana Apple Porridge



  • In a pan, add 120 gms oats, 3 cup water and cook.

Banana Sheera



  • In a pan, add 1/4 cup ghee, 10 gms cashew nuts, 10 gms raisins, and roast Remove roasted dryfruits and keep aside. 
  • Add 1 cup sooji rava, roast until the colour changes.
  • Add mashed banana(one big size) and cook.
  • In a separate pan, Boil 2 cup milk, 1 cup water, add roasted sooji banana mixture and mix well. Cook until it becomes thick.
  • Add 1 cup sugar, the roasted dryfruits. Mix well and remove from the heat.
  • Tasty Banana sheera is ready.

Banana Paniyaram




  • In a bowl, Mash banana(1 big) into a smooth puree. 
  • Add 1/4 cup rice flour, 1/2 cup wheat flour, 1/4 cup shredded coconut, 1/4 cup sugar, 2 crushed cardamom, 1 pinch baking soda, 5 gms chopped cashew nuts and mix well. 
  • Add water to make a smooth batter, without any lumps. The batter should be like dosa (pancake) batter consistency. 
  • In paniyaram pan l, add 2 tbsp oil in each mold and pour a spoonful of batter up to 3/4 full. Cover and cook on both the sides in a medium flame, until the color change into golden brown.

Banana paniyaram is ready to serve.

Banana Oatmeal smoothie




  • Prepare instant oat meal as per insructions mentioned in the packet. Let it cool down completely.
  • Now add 1 banana, 2 seedless dates, 2 tbsp of cooked oats in one cup of milk. Blend well. 
  • Yummy Banana Oatmeal smoothie is ready.

Raw Jackfruit Stir Fry


Raw jackfruit stir fry is unique, tasty & flavourful dish made from pickled/salted tender jackfruit pods.

Raw jackfruit is stored in salted water for off-seasonal use.

  • Add the sliced raw jackfruit pieces and fry.
  • Add little water, cover and cook till done.

Horsegram Idli



Horse Gram(Kulith) Idli is protein and calcium rich nutritious savoury cakes.

Horse Gram, idli rava and Urad Dal batter gives soft fluffy texture to this naturally fermented steamed pancake.

Horse gram is the most protein-rich lentil in the world. It is also rich in iron and calcium among other nutrients.

This exceptionally easy, healthy, steamed
breakfast has special appetizing aroma which fuels up one for a healthy start. 



  • Soak 1 cup urad dal and 1 cup horsegram for about 5hrs.
  • Grind them together to a very smooth batter. 
  • Now add 2 cups idli rava, salt, grind till they mix well.
  • Leave the batter overnight for fermentation.
  • Next morning, grease a vessel which can fit into pressure cooker for steaming. Add the idli batter to cover 3/4 portion of the vessel.
  • Transfer the vessel into pressure cooker and steam it for 20 minutes without the whistle.

The soft, aromatic horse gram idli is ready.

Mango Dessert



Try out these mouth-watering mango dessert recipes, hope you enjoy making, serving and savouring them. Have happy and cool summers!

Mango Pudding



  • In a bowl, add 1 tbsp gelatine, 1/2 cup cold water. Soak for 10 mins.
  • Take another bowl, add 1 cup water and bring to a boil. Switch off the flame and add soaked gelatine.
  • Add 2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup condensed milk, 2 cup mango puree and mix well.
  • Grease a bowl and add the mixture into it. Put it in the fridge for 2 hours to set.

The Divine blissful Mango Pudding is ready to be served cold with cream and nuts.

Mango kulfi




  • In a pan, add 2 cups of milk heat it on low flame. Simmer and add sugar.
  • Add 2 cups of cornflour into the milk and stir well so that no lumps are formed.
  • Let the mixture cool and then add 2 cups of mango puree to it.
  • Add chopped dry fruits to the mixture and pour it into moulds.
  • Freeze it for 10 hours and serve chilled.

Mango kulfi is ready and its tantalizing taste has too-good-to-be-real effect on the taste buds.

Aamras



  • Peel 2 mangoes and chop it into pieces.
  • In a blender add chopped mango pieces, 1 tbsp cardamom powder, 2 cup milk, 5 strands saffron, 1 tbsp dry ginger powder & 2 tbsp jaggery powder.
  • Pour the mixture into glasses and serve chilled by adding ice-cubes.

Aamras the rejuvenating, tempting drink is ready.

Mango Mousse



  • In a pan, add 2 tbsp agar-agar(china grass) and 1 cup milk, stir it on low flame and let it simmer.
  • Add 2 cup mango puree, 1 cup sugar and 1/4 tbsp cinnamon powder into the mixture. Let the mouse mixture cool for some time.
  • Add 2 cup whipped cream into four serving glasses. Add mouse mixture and then again add cream. Repeat the process to form layers in the glasses.
  • While serving pour 2 tbsp lemon juice to give it an authentic taste.

Drooling sweet and tangy mango mousse made with mango and whipped cream is ready.

Mango Halwa



  • In a bowl add 1/2 cup cornflour, add 1/2 cup water. Stir will to ensure no lumps are formed.
  • In a pan, add 6 tbsp ghee, when ghee gets lukewarm, add 2 cups mango puree.
  • Now add the cornflour mixture and let it thicken up.
  • Add 1 cup sugar and some more ghee to the pan.
  • Add 1 tbsp cardamom powder and chopped dry fruits and let it cool.

Tasty flavourful charming Mango Halwa is ready.

Mango Popsicles



  • Add 1/2 cup grated chocolate to 3 cup mango pulp and mix it well.
  • Whisk 2 cup cream, add 3/4 cup powdered sugar, 1.5 tbsp vanilla essence and 1 cup milk.
  • Whisk the mixture until it becomes fluffy.
  • Set the mixture in a mould and freeze them together.

Frozen treat, No-cook mango popsicles is ready. 

Smoothies

Panak



Panak is healthy spicy drink loaded with goodness of ginger, pepper & blended with jaggery for natural sweetness. The lime further adds a bit of zest to this sweet and spicy drink. 

The natural ingredients of this drink keeps body cool and maintains good balance of all the elements.


In a container, add

2 cups water
1/4 tbsp cardamom powder
1/2 tbsp pepper powder
1/2 tbsp grated ginger
1 tbsp lemon juice
3 tbsp jaggery powder

Mix all till jaggery is dissolved in water.

Cucumber Cake




Cucumber cake is delicious, healthy easy to make eggless steamed cake.

It is very midly sweet in taste and loaded with goodness of semolina, coconut, jaggery and flavourful cucumber.

Lets enjoy this soft, moist, unique textured cake in steamed style.



  • In a pan, roast 3/4 cup broken wheat dalia (lapsi rava) till it turns slightly brown. 
  • Add 1/4 cup semolina(rava) and roast till it turns slightly brown. 
  • Add water, 1cup grated cucumber and 1cup jaggery and mix well. 
  • Add 1/4 cup grated coconut, 10 cashew nuts, 10 raisins and salt and mix well. Keep stiring and cook till the mixture forms a thick paste. 
  • In a container, add ghee & the cake mixture. 
  • Place the container in pressure cooker, then remove whistle and cover it with a lid and steam Steam for 40 minutes.
  • Tasty cucumber cake is ready.

Sweet Poha 

Coconut Rice Dumplings




Coconut Rice dumplings is similar to Idlis but easy to make and needs no fermentation. Tempering of urad dal, mustard and curry leaves gives this dumplings unique taste.

So if you are looking out for quick tasty healthy steamed food breakfast or snack go for this.



  • In a pan, add 3 tbsp coconut oil, 1 tbsp mustard seed, 1/4 tbsp fenugreek, 1 tbsp urad daal, 3 slit green chillies and 5 curry leaves.
  • When it starts popping add 1 cup idli rava, fry for 4 minutes. Add salt, 1/2 cup grated coconut and 3 cups boiling water. Stir and close the lid. Cook until it is completely cooked.
  • Let it cool a bit and then form round small dumpling balls . Grease a cooker vessel and lineup dumplings. Steam for 15 minutes.
  • Serve hot dumplings with coconut chutney.

Maida Dosa


Maida dosa is easy to make spicy crispy since it requires no grinding or fermentation.

This dosa can be eaten without any side dish since batter is prepared with the spicy condiments.

This receipe is handy for those days when you feel lazy and wish to make quick breakfast or evening snack.

  • In a bowl, add 1 cup maida, 1.5 grated coconut, 1/2 tbsp pepper powder, salt, water and mix well to make it thin batter without any lumps
  • In a pan, add 1 tbsp coconut oil, splutter 1/2 tbsp mustard seeds and saute well. Add thinly chopped 1 green chilly and 5 curry leaves and fry and switch off the flame.
  • Pour the above seasoning into the maida batter container and mix well.
  • Take a nonstick pan add ghee, spread the maida batter with laddle evenly.
  • Close the tawa with a lid and roast the maida dosa on medium flame till the base is roasted well. Apply ghee on all sides and flip it with spatula till the other side is cooked. Once both sides of dosa is roasted remove it from hot pan with spatula.
  • Spicy maida dosa is ready.

Ivy Gourd Stir Fry


Ivy Gourd is rich in beta-carotene, iron and Vita B complex. It is a great source of antioxidants too.

Ivy gourd stir fry requires minimum ingredients is prepared by keeping it whole and slightly crushing it for garlic seasoning to blend well adding unique taste.



  • Take 1 cup Ivy gourd(tindora), cut both ends, crush it slightly using a mortar and pestle or stone.
  • In a pan, add 1/2 tbsp oil, 6 crushed garlic pods, fry till it turns brown
  • Add the crushed ivy gourd(tindora), salt, 1 tbsp red chilli powder, sprinkle little water and mix well
  • Cook on medium flame till the tindora turns soft and changes to a light brown colour.
  • Spicy Ivy gourd(tindora) stir fry is ready.

Neer Dosa



Neer(water) dosa is crepes made with ground rice batter. This version of dosa is soft, thin, soft, fluffy & lacy delicacy.

It is often called ‘water dosa’ since its batter is watery and doesnt require any fermentation.

Crepe is popular thin pancake snack made from whole wheat flour or buckwheat flour. But, in India, we have our desi version of Crepe called Neer Dosa.



  • Soak 1 cup rice in enough water overnight. Next day in morning drain the soaked rice and add it to grinder with 2 cups of water. Grind till u get a smooth thin flowing watery batter. Add salt to the batter.
  • In a non stick pan add ½ tsp of oil, spread it. With a ladle, spread the batter outwards to inside. Keep titling the pan further spread.
  • Cover with a lid and cook without flipping it. Once done fold it in triangular shape.
  • Healthy soft neer dosa is ready.

Cabbage Dosa




Cabbage omlette dosa is easy to make delicious spicy crispy dosa made with shredded cabbage, rice, coconut & onion.

So when u have very less time to prepare crispy crunch snack or side dish for lunch, go for this.

  • Soak 1 cup rice in water for 2 hours. Drain the water and keep it ready.
  • Grind 3/4 cup grated coconut, 9 kashmiri red chilli, beetle nut sized tamarind, pinch of asafoetida (hing) and water to make a rough paste. Add soaked rice and little water and grind again.
  • Transfer coarse paste batter from mixer to mixing bowl and add salt ,100 gms finely chopped cabbage & finely chopped onion each to the mixture.
  • In a pan add oil, put some batter on it and spread evenly using hands. It should be thick spread.
  • Apply little oil on the top, close the lid and roast for 3 minutes on a small flame.Flip over, repeat and roast it on both sides till the raw batter completely gets roasted.
  • Spicy crispy cabbage omlette dosa is ready.

Sweet Khichdi




Sweet khichdi is porridge like dessert made with cooked Chana dal (Bengal gram dal) and rice blended with goodness of
jaggery, flavored aromatic cardamom powder, dryfruits, ghee & topped with slices of banana.

So when you are craving for a sweet dessert in a hurry, try sweet khichdi.


  • Cook 1/2 cup rice and 1/2 cup chana dal bengal gram gram in 1.5 cup water for 1 whistle in pressure cooker.    
  • In a pan, add 1 cup jaggery powder, 3/4 cup of water boil it till the jaggery dissolve completely.
  • Add 1/2 cup grated coconut and simmer for 2 minutes. Add cooked rice, dal and mix well. Simmer until the mixture dries up completely. Add 5 tbsp of ghee, 2 tbsp raisins, 1tbsp cardamom powder and mix well.
  • In a pan, add 1 tbsp ghee, 2 tbsp cashew and fry until they turn golden brown. Add to sweet khichdi and mix well.
  • Yummy nutrtious sweet khichdi is ready.

Moong Dal Upma


Moong dal upma is easy to make nutrition, protein rich breakfast/snack blended with goodness of dal & coconut.

Split Green Gram is usually used during festivals in south india and best if you are observing fast.

  • In a pan, heat oil, add 1/2 tbsp mustard seeds, 5 curry leaves, 4 green chilies, pinch of asafoetida and salute for little time.
  • Add 1/2 cup moong dal, fry for 5mins, add 2 cups water, salt.
  • Cook for 15 minutes but make sure its not mushy. Once moong dal is cooked, drain the water.
  • Add 1/2 tbsp sugar to moong dal upma and mix well. Garnish 1/2 cup with grated coconut.

Healthy Moog Dal upma ready.



Vermicelli Upma

Biscuit Roti


Biscuit Roti is spicy crispy fluffy puris with flavoured semolina fillings.

Kids love to gorge on this delight deep- fried snack in the evening.

Lets indulge in this sinful binge.

  • In a bowl, add 2 cups of maida, 1/4 tbsp salt, 4 tbsp ghee, water and mix to make a soft dough. Keep the wheat flour dough aside for 1 hour.
  • In a pan, add 2 tbsp oil, stir curry leaves & 1 tbsp urad dal. Add finely chopped 1 green chillies and 1tbsp grated ginger.
  • Add 4 tbsp rava(semolina), 3 tbsp gram flour, pinch of turmeric and fry for 4 minutes.
  • Add 1 cup grated coconut,1/2 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of powdered sugar and fry for 2 minutes. Stuffing mixture is ready.
  • Take small dough portion like and 2 tbsp of stuffing mixture on it. Seal the stuffing by stretching the dough from sides and covering it. Flatten the dough by rolling it into small puri and deep fry.

Soft fluffy Biscuit Roti is ready.

  • In a mixer add water, grind 1/3 cup grated coconut, 3 red chilli, 1 inch Ginger, 1/2 tbsp Mustard seeds, 1/2tbsp Cumin seeds to make masala paste.
  • In a pan, add the cooked beetroot, salt, grounded masala paste and turmeric powder. Stir & cook till all ingredients blend well
  • Whisk curd add it to curry. Mix well
  • In a sauce pan, add 1 tbsp oil, 1/2 tbsp mustard seeds, 1 red chilli and 5 curry leaves. Once it splutters add to curry and stir untill it blends well.
  • Pinkish fresh Beetroot yogurt curry is ready.

Bhakri is round flat unleavened Indian bread made with various types of flour.

So if you haven't decided what to make for breakfast / snack, go for this simple recipe with basic ingredients easily in the kitchen.



  • Mix 1 cup rice rava, 1/2 cup grated coconut,1/2 tbsp chopped ginger, 1/2 tbsp finely chopped green chilly, 1 tbsp sugar, salt.
  • Add water to make a semi liquid mixture and keep it aside for about 30mins.
  • On a large flat frying pan, apply ghee spread the bhakri mixture 1/2 to 1 inch thick circle using your hands.
  • Cover the pan with lid to cook, flip over to cook both sides using spatula by turning the bhakri upside down.
  • Rava Bhakri is ready.

Chakko


Jackfruit the superfood is nature’s boon to mankind since contains high fiber,
low glycemic load which can help reverse the diabetic condition.

People love to eat this summer fruit which contains succulent yellow to orange to red colored honeyed pulp to their heart’s content.

Chakko is spicy stir fry of raw jack fruit blended with flavourful ground spicy coconut masala.


  • In a pressure cooker, add water & 1.5 cup of chopped raw jackfruit. Cook them with salt and 1/4 cup of water for 2 whistle. Smash the cooked jackfruit cubes and cut them into thin pieces.
  • In a sauce pan, add oil and stir 1 tbsp corainder seeds, 2tbsp urad dal. Add them to mixer with grated coconut to make coconut masala.
  • In a pan, add oil then splutter mustard seeds, add 5 curry leaves, 4 dried red chilli. let them sizzle for few seconds.
  • Add dry grounded coconut masala, 2 tbsp of water and mix well. Simmer and cook the masala until it gets very dry. 
  • Add in coconut oil, salt, jaggery & pieces of cooked raw jackfruit and mix well. Cook until they blend well and curry gets dry.
  • Chakko is ready.

Mango Curry



Mango the king of fruits is one of the most tasty, nutritious tropical fruit loaded with goodness of Vitamin E, beta carotene and serve as strong antioxidant.

Mango Curry is made with not-so-sweet mangoes blended with spices, jaggery and green chilies to give it a unique taste.

Lip smacking curry absorbs all the flavors from the seasoning and it turns into an amalgamation of myriad tastes.



  • Peel the skin of 8 sweet sour mangoes.
  • In a sauce pan add oil and splutter 1/2 tbsp mustard seeds. When they start popping, add 1/2 tbsp urad dal, 5 curry leaves, 5 red chilies.
  • Add peeled off mangoes, 1 tbsp jaggery, salt, 1/2 cup water, 1 tbsp grated coconut.
  • Close the lid and cook for 5-6 mins for mangoes to absorb all the flavors till we get thick spicy gravy.
  • Divine flavourful Mango curry is ready.

Potato Song


Potato Song is bright red colored thick curry which derives the color from heat inducing red chillies.

Dish has unique taste & flavour due to perfect blend of ingredients like spicy chilly, sweet coconut, tangy tamarind.

Serve it on lazy weekend afternoon with rice / roti / bread for a quick meal.



  • Boil 2 cups of potatoes, peel and cut into big pieces.
  • In a pan, stir 3/4 cup of grated coconut till it turns just reddish.
  • In a mixer, grind grated coconut with 1 tbsp coriander seeds, 8 red chillies and 1/2 tbsp tamarind to make smooth masala paste.
  • In a pan, heat oil and fry 1/2 cup of chopped onions till they turn translucent.
  • Add boiled potatoes, masala paste, salt, water and cook till the gravy is thick.
  • Potato Song is ready.

  • Remove seeds from 15 Jamun and grind them in blender.
  • Now add 1 tbsp sugar, 1/4 tbsp black salt and 1 cup of water in the blender and blend together.
  • Pour it in a container, add 2 cups of water, 1 tbsp lemon juice and mix well.
  • Spread the salt in a glass plate.
  • Around the top of the shot glass, rub lemon wedges and place it upside down in the salt plate. This will create ring of salt around the glass.
  • Now pour the drink in each glass and garnish with mint leaves.

Bhutte Ka Kees


Bhutte Ka Kees is spiced grated corn cooked in milk which makes it healthy, delicious unusual snack .

Sweet corn is gluten-free cereal & good source of dietary fiber, vitamins, antioxidants.

This delicious tasty mouth watering snack is quite filling and perfect for health conscious people.


  • Grind 2 sweet corn cobs to make coarse paste and keep aside.
  • In a sauce pan, heat oil and splutter 1/2 tbsp mustard and 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds.
  • Add pinch of hing (Asafoetida), 2 finely chopped green chillies, 1/2 tbsp grated ginger and stir for few seconds.
  • Add the grated corn paste, 1/4 tbsp turmeric powder and stir until the color changes slightly. Add 1/2 cup of milk and blend well.
  • Cover the pan with a lid, and cook until the milk thickens on a low flame.
  • Switch off the flame, add the salt, lemon juice and 2 tbsp finely chopped leaves of coriander. Blend well.
  • Garnish with 2 tbsp finely grated coconut, raw coriander leaves and lime wedges.


Sol Kadhi


Sol Kadhi is pinkish digestive appetizer which aides in digestion post spicy meal using dried Kokum petals.

Kokum is known as “Sol” which means peel of Garcinia indica, a plant in the mangosteen family.

Kokum helps in treating sores, stomach ulcers, alleviating diarrhea, improving digestion, lessening arthritis pain, curing ear infections.

Coconut being rich with dietary fiber helps to attain healthy body weight.



  • Soak 8 dried kokum petals in warm water for one hour. Squeeze soaked kokum to get juice.
  • Pour 2 cups of coconut milk, kokum juice & salt into a bowl. Blend well.
  • To make a smooth paste, add 6 tbsp of water, smash 2 green chillies & 3 garlic in a mixer. Use strainer to remove water.
  • Add this mixture to the kokum and stir well.
  • In a saucepan add 2 tbsp of oil to temper 1 tbsp of cumin seeds, 10 curry leaves and blend well.
  • Garnish with leaves of finely chopped corainder.
  • Sol Kadhi digestive appetizer is ready.
